Overview

The HydroACT Analyzer with DuraTrac 4 Streaming Current Sensor is Chemtrac’s most reliable and accurate Streaming Current Monitor, providing unique and versatile capabilities for optimizing coagulant or polymer dosing. With improved Streaming Current measurement capability, expansive I/O, state of the art chemical feed logic, and the ability to monitor additional parameters key to coagulation (e.g. pH, UV254, NTU), this revolutionary product offers a dependable, comprehensive, and scalable approach for tackling virtually any water treatment scenario.

A well designed interface gives the user easy access to frequently used features like zero offset. Intelligent diagnostics, service reminders, advanced alarm features, and optional email/text alerts all work together to notify the user when service is required or when process conditions having changed sufficiently to warrant attention.

Q & A’s

The DuraTrac 4 is designed to optimize coagulation in water treatment plants by providing accurate charge measurement capabilities.

Yes, the analyzer offers Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, or analog outputs for direct communication with SCADA systems.

Yes, it includes a PID control option for direct chemical feed pump control to maintain optimum coagulant or polymer dosages.

This unique feature allows for performance troubleshooting of the sensor.

The HydroACT analyzer, which works with the DuraTrac 4, can also monitor pH, UV254 organics, Turbidity (NTU), and other parameters.

The HydroACT utilizes advanced sIf cleaning doesn’t improve responsiveness sufficiently, the probe and piston may need to be replaced.

The ideal response is 5 to 10 Streaming Current Value (SCV) units per 10% change in dosage.

Assuming an SCV of -200 on the raw water sample, the treated water sample will typically have an SCV anywhere in the range of -100 to +50.
