Chemtrac to Exhibit at ACE17 in Philadelphia

The Lab Charge Analyzer will be featured at the Chemtrac Booth (#2025) during the upcoming AWWA ACE17 conference and exhibition, June 11-14. The LCA allows for a target coagulant dose to be automatically determined in just a matter of minutes. Chemtrac will also have on display variety of analyzers including their on-line Streaming Current Monitor, particle counters, and reagentless chlorine analyzers. If you are going to be in Philadelphia for ACE17, please make it a point to stop by Booth 2025....

Another Successful Showcase at ACE 2016

The Chemtrac team joined attendees at ACE 2016 in Chicago, IL to discuss the latest models of Streaming Current Monitors, Particle Counters, Chlorine Analyzers, and HydroACT multi-parameter analyzer.   The Laboratory Charge Analyzer, a bench-top streaming current unit, was the featured product. As mentioned previously, the LCA builds on the success and solid performance of its predecessor models (CCA3100, ECA2100 and ECAT2100), allowing for charge neutralization titrations to accurately determine target coagulant dosages for surface water treatment. Essentially, the LCA provides a way for conducting jar tests in less than five minutes, as opposed to the traditional methods that can take in excess of an hour to run....

Introducing Next Generation Products at ACE16

We will be introducing our two new series of products at the 2016 AWWA Annual Conference & Exposition in Chicago next week (June 19-22). Both the Laboratory Charge Analyzers, and the third-generation HydroACT multi-parameter analyzers, will be revealed and on display at our Chemtrac Booth (#1040) in the ACE Exhibit Hall....

Happy Birthday Chemtrac, Inc. — Thirty One-derful Years!

We are happy to say that this month marks the 31st anniversary of Chemtrac, Inc. Founded in 1985 upon the release of a new Streaming Current Monitor, Chemtrac has come a long way and is now recognized as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Streaming Current Monitors and Particle Counters, as well as the provider of the HydroACT series of multi-parameter analyzers....

WWET Training on Particle Counts and Turbidity

Chemtrac recently conducted a four-hour training class for Water Wastewater Education & Training (WWET), in Henderson, NV.  There were over 50 attendees from the local area. The group was mostly composed of operators from the City of Henderson, Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD), Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA), and Southern Nevada Water Services (SNWS).The training was well received by those in attendance.  The WWET training coordinator, Brett Goodnow, had the following to say, “Chemtrac’s training was probably the best I have seen on those subjects. If found it very interesting that turbidity and particle counts do not always correlate. It was my impression that they would always complement each other. We had particle counters for years and now realize we did not fully un...

AWPCA Annual Conference in Huntsville Alabama, August 3-5

Chemtrac Inc will exhibit and present at the AWPCA (Alabama Water and Pollution Control Association) Annual Conference in Huntsville Al, August 3-5 2015.  Presentations include an “Update on Laboratory Charge Measurement and Advances in Streaming Current Measurement” along with “Mythbusting Filter Performance with Particle Counters and Turbidimeters. ...

Chemtrac Presenting at International EPRI Conference

John Clark and Joe Zimmerman of Chemtrac, Inc., will team-up to present a technical paper at the Eleventh International Conference on Cycle Chemistry in Fossil and Combined Cycle Plants with Heat Recovery Steam Generators. The conference will take place in St. Louis, July 14-16, and over 150 power plant chemists and engineers from around the world will be in attendance. Clark and Zimmerman collaborated with Luis Diaz and Phil Maszak of Florida Power and Light to author the paper, “The Quest to Monitor Corrosion Product Transport in the Power Plant Steam Cycle.” Particle detection and turbidity measurement are discussed; and a case study is included profiling a corrosion product study that was completed at the FPL West County Energy Center. The Chemtrac PC3400 Particle Counter, as well as t...

5 Minute Jar Test on Display at ACE15 in Anaheim

For over 25 years Chemtrac has exhibited at the AWWA Annual Conference & Exhibition.  This week, at ACE15 in Anaheim, they are introducing the next generation Laboratory Charge Analyzer (LCA), along with the new and improved Benchtop/Portable Particle Counter (PC5000). Of course, on display will also be Chemtrac’s latest models of online Streaming Current Monitors, Particle Counters, Chlorine Analyzers, Organics Monitors, as well as the HydroACT series of water analyzer products. ...

Chemtrac Exhibits at 75th Annual International Water Conference

It was a milestone year for the International Water Conference. The 75th Anniversary IWC was held November 16-19, and Chemtrac was in San Antonio to take part. Of particular interest to the Chemtrac booth visitors was the PC4400 Particle Counter with the ppb volumetric concentration readout. This is particularly useful in monitoring corrosion product transport in the power industry. The PC4400 is also quite popular for optimizing filtration in RO pretreatment applications, and correlating to (and monitoring) Silt Density Index (SDI) trends....

WQTC Exhibitor for Over 20 Years

Chemtrac was proud to exhibit at the 2014 Water Quality Technology Conference in New Orleans. A longtime supporter of WQTC, Chemtrac is one of just seven companies that have exhibited at this industry-leading technical conference for over 20 years.  At the booth they showcased the soon-to-be-released, new-and-improved bench-top charge analyzer (which will replace the CCA3100). The laboratory charge analyzers are used to quickly determine the optimum coagulant dosage, and minimize the need for jar testing. ...

Sponsor for Air Cooled Condenser Annual Meeting

Chemtrac was a sponsor for the 6th Annual Air Cooled Condenser Users Group (ACCUG) Meeting. The conference took place at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, September 22-25. There were 140 attendees from 12 countries. Dr. Andrew Howell of Xcel Energy has acted as the director of the annual meeting since its inception, and the Host Sponsor for this year’s meeting was Calpine Corporation....

Chemtrac Once Again Exhibits at SWCW

Earlier this month, Chemtrac exhibited at the 23rd Annual Southwest Chemistry Workshop (SWCW), at the Wyndham Bayside Hotel in San Diego, CA. There were 160 attendees, including approximately 100 chemistry and engineering related personnel from over 20 different power plants. On display were the PC4400 Particle Counter, the PM2500 Particle Monitor, and the HydroACT 600 multi-parameter analyzer with a Free Chlorine Sensor. Chemtrac is continuing to promote all of their products in the Power Industry, with a focus on the reverse osmosis (RO) pretreatment, and corrosion product transport monitoring applications....
