Video Testimonial: WTP Prefers “Reagentless” Chlorine Analyzers

When the water treatment plant in Auburn, AL was looking for the ability to monitor chlorine in off-site locations, they did not want to have to deal with on-line analyzers that required reagents. Instead they turned to Chemtrac’s HydroACT Chlorine Analyzers which utilize amperometric probe sensors with membrane caps. By choosing the probe approach, the maintenance requirements, and subsequent maintenance costs, were reduced tremendously. And the plant also came to realize that not all chlorine probe analyzers are the same....

New Chlorine Analyzer Video Demonstration

We at Chemtrac want our customers to better understand our products. We feel the next best thing to having an on-site demonstration of our analyzers is to be able to see a video demonstration…and become more aware of the product capabilities, and see the ease of set-up and operation....

Another Successful Showcase at ACE 2016

The Chemtrac team joined attendees at ACE 2016 in Chicago, IL to discuss the latest models of Streaming Current Monitors, Particle Counters, Chlorine Analyzers, and HydroACT multi-parameter analyzer.   The Laboratory Charge Analyzer, a bench-top streaming current unit, was the featured product. As mentioned previously, the LCA builds on the success and solid performance of its predecessor models (CCA3100, ECA2100 and ECAT2100), allowing for charge neutralization titrations to accurately determine target coagulant dosages for surface water treatment. Essentially, the LCA provides a way for conducting jar tests in less than five minutes, as opposed to the traditional methods that can take in excess of an hour to run....

Introducing Next Generation Products at ACE16

We will be introducing our two new series of products at the 2016 AWWA Annual Conference & Exposition in Chicago next week (June 19-22). Both the Laboratory Charge Analyzers, and the third-generation HydroACT multi-parameter analyzers, will be revealed and on display at our Chemtrac Booth (#1040) in the ACE Exhibit Hall....

Happy Birthday Chemtrac, Inc. — Thirty One-derful Years!

We are happy to say that this month marks the 31st anniversary of Chemtrac, Inc. Founded in 1985 upon the release of a new Streaming Current Monitor, Chemtrac has come a long way and is now recognized as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Streaming Current Monitors and Particle Counters, as well as the provider of the HydroACT series of multi-parameter analyzers....

5 Minute Jar Test on Display at ACE15 in Anaheim

For over 25 years Chemtrac has exhibited at the AWWA Annual Conference & Exhibition.  This week, at ACE15 in Anaheim, they are introducing the next generation Laboratory Charge Analyzer (LCA), along with the new and improved Benchtop/Portable Particle Counter (PC5000). Of course, on display will also be Chemtrac’s latest models of online Streaming Current Monitors, Particle Counters, Chlorine Analyzers, Organics Monitors, as well as the HydroACT series of water analyzer products. ...

2015 ARWA 37th Annual Technical Training Conference

Attendees of the Alabama Rural Water Association’s Annual Technical Training Conference were able to learn of the advantages of streaming current monitoring while visiting the Chemtrac booth.  Sporting a serviceable probe that the factory can rebuild, a higher flow capacity to minimize sensor fouling, and a more robust drive motor, Chemtrac’s DuraTrac 4 sensor is raising the bar for on-line streaming current measurement.  The HydroACT 600 controller accepts up to six sensors for measuring such parameters as streaming current, pH, chlorine (free or total), ORP, particle detection, and UV-254 organics measurement....

New Instrumentation Causes Operators to Rethink Water Treatment Procedures

In 2014, the city of Franklin, NC, purchased a Chemtrac on-line Streaming Current Monitor at the advice of their state regulatory agency. This was to help them manage USEPA Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCL) for disinfection by-products.  Historically, plant operators determined their coagulant dosage based on the turbidity level in their river source.  Both alum and lime were used to treat a cold, low alkalinity, and often turbid river influenced by heavy rain events....

WQTC Exhibitor for Over 20 Years

Chemtrac was proud to exhibit at the 2014 Water Quality Technology Conference in New Orleans. A longtime supporter of WQTC, Chemtrac is one of just seven companies that have exhibited at this industry-leading technical conference for over 20 years.  At the booth they showcased the soon-to-be-released, new-and-improved bench-top charge analyzer (which will replace the CCA3100). The laboratory charge analyzers are used to quickly determine the optimum coagulant dosage, and minimize the need for jar testing. ...

Chlorine Analyzer Presentation Given at AWT Annual Conference in Texas

John Clark, Chemtrac VP & GM, presented a technical paper, Understanding On-line Amperometric Chlorine Measurements (pdf download),  at the 2014 AWT (Association of Water Technologies) Annual Conference and Exposition. The event was held October 28 thru November 1 at the Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas....

Chemtrac Once Again Exhibits at SWCW

Earlier this month, Chemtrac exhibited at the 23rd Annual Southwest Chemistry Workshop (SWCW), at the Wyndham Bayside Hotel in San Diego, CA. There were 160 attendees, including approximately 100 chemistry and engineering related personnel from over 20 different power plants. On display were the PC4400 Particle Counter, the PM2500 Particle Monitor, and the HydroACT 600 multi-parameter analyzer with a Free Chlorine Sensor. Chemtrac is continuing to promote all of their products in the Power Industry, with a focus on the reverse osmosis (RO) pretreatment, and corrosion product transport monitoring applications....

Chemtrac to attend GAWP Annual Conference

At the Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP) Annual Conference & Expo in Savannah, GA, July 20 -22, Chemtrac will exhibit a new line of automatic controllers for optimizing coagulation and filtration. Recognizing the growing concern for TOC and DBP reduction, Chemtrac’s new on-line analyzer offerings include a redesigned streaming current sensor (DuraTrac 4), UV 254 organics monitor, pH, free and total chlorine, particle detection, and biofilm sensors.  Complementing their new line of instruments and controllers, Chemtrac has state-certified training courses for all of their equipment, hosted by your facility, and fine tuned to your plant’s daily operations....
