South Carolina WTP Overcame Flood-Related Challenges

New Chlorine Analyzer Video Demonstration
Chemtrac to Exhibit at IWC in San Antonio

It is not uncommon for water treatment plants to have to adjust coagulant doses when raw water conditions rapidly change due to passing storms. However, recent hurricanes and tropical storms remind us that when record-setting rainfalls cause epic flooding, water treatment plants can be faced with unprecedented challenges.

In October 2015, when parts of South Carolina had what was referred to as a “1000-Year Rain,” a WTP in Columbia was faced with raw water conditions that they had never before experienced. Please watch a brief video to see how the Chemtrac Laboratory Charge Analyzer helped them continue to effectively treat water during extreme adverse conditions.
